Quo Vadis High Energy Particle Physics - The Update of the European Strategy by CERN

Abstract

This year will see the update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, a community effort to identify future priorities in particle physics. With the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, a theoretical framework with astonishing predictive power and precision has been completed. However, many questions, such as the nature of the Higgs boson and that of dark matter, remain unanswered. New accelerators are needed to answer these questions, reaching new frontiers in both energy and precision.
