Title
A Pointillist Approach to Quantum Matter
Abstract
Current experiments with cold atoms provide snapshots of many-body states with single particle resolution. I will discuss new insights into strongly correlated systems that came out of these experiments. I will present evidence for magnetic polarons in the Fermi Hubbard model and discuss analogies between magnetic polarons and mesons in QCD. Application of machine learning techniques to the analysis of many-body snapshots will also be discussed.
