Title
Landau level spectroscopy & topological materials
Abstract
A strong magnetic field confines electrons to a discrete set of Landau levels. With infrared light, we can excite carrier transitions from one level to another. This can be an extremely sensitive probe of semimetal and semiconductor band structures. I will give an overview of our recent progress on Landau level spectroscopy of Dirac and Weyl semimetals. I will discuss new approaches allowing us to learn from the rich magneto-optical spectra.
