Title
What Does it Take to Find another Earth?
Abstract
The discovery and characterization of terrestrial exoplanets capable of hosting water requires some of the most demanding precision spectroscopic measurements. I will discuss some of the fundamental aspects of these radial velocity measurements, and new results. Magnetically driven stellar processes currently hinder planet detection. I will highlight promising new paths to mitigate these, and to better understand our own star – the Sun.
