Title
Tracking Atomic Motions in Real-Time with Femtosecond Electron Diffraction
Abstract
Atomic motions on ultrafast timescales are involved in many non-equilibrium phenomena, e.g. upon light absorption in photovoltaic materials. These motions can be directly studied by femtosecond electron diffraction. To illustrate recent developments of the technique, I will first show a momentum-resolved view of phonon dynamics in black phosphorus. Second, I will discuss how pentacene molecules move during the process of singlet exciton fission.
