Title
Magnetic Resonance Sensing with Individual Atoms on a Surface
Abstract
The scanning tunneling microscope (STM) allows us to image and precisely position individual atoms on a surface to make unique nanostructures. The STM can also perform electron spin resonance (ESR) of individual magnetic atoms, making each atom a sensitive probe of the magnetic field in its atomic neighborhood. Arranging the atoms creates artificial magnetic molecules having highly entangled quantum states.
