Title
Toward Detecting the Invisible: Dark Matter
Abstract
Dark matter makes up 85% of the total mass in our Universe, yet it has never been directly detected on Earth. Over the past decades, searches have been conducted, achieving such levels of sensitivity that neutrinos emitted by the Sun will constitute the «big problem» for all experiments. In this talk, I will review the evidence for dark matter, the challenges we face, and efforts to develop detectors that are sensitive to incoming particles.
