Title
Exotic Superconducting Phases in Quantum Materials
Abstract
The study of quantum materials has reshaped our understanding of metals, insulators and semiconductors, opening paths to new forms of quantum computation and emergent phenomena that may revolutionize future technologies. This has largely stemmed from materials discovery and exploration at a fundamental level, realizing concepts such as topology, flat-band engineering and exotic superconductivity. In this talk, I will focus on key examples of novel superconducting materials, including UTe2 and YPtBi, that incorporate several facets of modern quantum materials research in just a few unique but fascinating platforms.
