Title
Classical and Quantum Simulations of Lattice Field Theories
Abstract
Exploring quantum chromodynamics (QCD) across all energy scales requires efficient methods for simulating QCD on a spacetime lattice. After introducing new algorithms for lattice QCD, I will present recent results on including quantum electrodynamics corrections in the computation of the muon’s magnetic moment, a precision test of the Standard Model. I will also discuss open challenges that point to the need for quantum simulation approaches.
