Title
The CHEOPS Mission
Abstract
The CHaracterising ExOPlanet Satellite (CHEOPS) is ESA's first small mission and is jointly led by Switzerland. Successfully launched on December 18, 2019, it is dedicated to search for transits of exoplanets using ultrahigh precision photometry on bright stars already known to host planets. I will discuss the challenges encountered in the building of the satellite and present some scientific results from the first year of operations.
