Title
Synthesizing, Controlling, and Probing Quantum States through Microscopy
Abstract
I will describe experiments that use microscopy to create and manipulate low-entropy quantum systems of neutral atoms. In one experiment with optical tweezers, we realize atomic Hong-Ou-Mandel interference with independently prepared atoms. In a second experiment with a quantum gas microscope, we exploit atomic Hong-Ou-Mandel interference to probe the role of entanglement in thermalization. I will conclude by discussing a new experiment that we are building, and its relationship to the presented
results.
